Ennead served as lead architect and master planner for NYC DEP's renovation of the Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in Brooklyn; the Visitor Center opened 2010, with hands-on interpretive exhibits on the city's water cycle and lighting design by L'Observatoire International for the plant's blue-lit digester eggs.

As part of NYC's Percent for Art program, the project also incorporated a water sculpture by artist Vito Acconci inside the Visitor Center and a separate sculptural Nature Walk by artist George Trakas (opened 2007) — individual artist commissions, not firm credits under this index's schema.
